Light Medium Engineering

Palmers Mechanical Engineering has extensive project experience in supplying and constructing light to medium fabrication.

When Palmers Mechanical Ltd acquired Crosbie Sheet Metal we enhanced and expanded our medium engineering services to cover light engineering to the South Island.

The workforce at Palmers Mechanical can set welding procedures for stainless steel, aluminium, molybdenum and mild steel. We house TIG, MIG and ARC personnel with a wealth of experience for all types of projects. Regardless of the project size or intricacy, our team are more than capable of delivering high-quality finishes to ensure the level expected is consistently delivered. Components that require welding are jigged using high precision welding fixtures that are made in-house to meet our exact requirements, minimise handling time and giving a fast turnaround.

This gives us the capacity to design, manufacture and install, covering architectural features both domestic and industrial. The other part of our Palmers Mechanical engineering covers the refurbishment of existing plant as well as design and installation of new plant.

Palmers Mechanical understands the importance of finding the most effective manufacturing solutions and our expert teams strive to adapt systems to meet the evolving demands of clients. We build integrated partnerships with our customers, delivering expert design assistance, with our supply chain management system to ensure efficient operations from start to finish.

Projects completed by this department include:

  • Architectural stairwell for the Dunedin Casino
  • Copper work for the Speight's Ale Houses network
  • Dust extraction and ducting systems for Blackhead Quarries sand plant
